          Sinopsis
          "Fathers of Men" is a coming of age novel by E. W. Hornung. Robert Heriot is the Principal of a private school for boys. Heriot prides himself on the school's objective to bring out a refined version of the same student, stating that, "we have turned a first-rate groom into a second-rate gentleman. 'The Child,' remember, and not the school, 'is father of the Man.'" His latest additions to the school are two young boys, the talkative Carpenter and the extremely shy Rutter. Heriot sees something of himself in Rutter and is determined to bring the boy out of his shell…
          Acerca de E. W. Hornung

          E. W. Hornung (1866–1921) based his iconic characters—the gentleman thief A. J. Raffles and his sidekick, Bunny Manders—on his friends Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas, as well as on his brother-in-law Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous literary creations: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The eighth child of a Hungarian timber and coal merchant, Hornung was a prolific and popular author during his lifetime, publishing in a variety of genres.
