          Acerca de Émile Coué

          Émile Coué (1857-1926) fue un psicólogo y farmacólogo francés.Introdujo un método conocido como la psicoterapia, que es una técnica de curación y auto-mejoría que se basa en la autosugestión de la hipnosis. Se le conoce como el padre del condicionamiento aplicado.Coué aprendió acerca de la hipnosis por Ambroise-Auguste Liébault, el fundador de la Escuela de Nancy. En 1913 Coué fundó la Sociedad de Psicología Aplicada de Lorraine. Introdujo un nuevo método, el auto-comienzo de la autosugestión consciente, del cual escribió un libro. Modificó la teoría de Abbé Faria proponiendo que para que la autosugestión fluyera de la mente, uno tenía que alimentarla primero: repitiendo palabras o imágenes como autosugestión para la mente subconsciente, uno puede condicionar su mente. Después, la mente condicionada, es capaz de producir un comando autogenerado cuando la situación lo requiera.Su muy conocido mantra, “Día tras día, en todos los aspectos, me va mejor y mejor” es conocido como Couéismo, o el método de Coué, y depende en gran parte de la repetición de la fórmula.

          Acerca de Wallace D. Wattles

          Wallace D. Wattles, (1860-1911). La vida de este escritor americano es bastante desconocida. Nacido poco antes de la Guerra de Secesión estadounidense, experimentó diferentes fracasos financieros en su juventud. A raíz de estos, se dedicó al estudio de diferentes creencias religiosas y de algunas de las personalidades religiosas más destacadas, como Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Schopenhauer, o Hegel. Fue a través de estos largos años de estudio que Wattles aseguró haber descubierto los principios del New Thought y haberlos puesto en práctica en su vida. A partir de entonces, escribió diferentes libros en los que desglosó estos principios, que puso en práctica él mismo y le permitieron salir de la pobreza y crear una gran fortuna. Además de la presente obra, es autor de los siguientes libros: A New Christ, Health Through New Thought and Fasting, The Science of Being Great, The Science of Being Well, Making of the Man Who Can y una novela, Hellfire Harrison.

Ambos compartilhavam ideias e colaboraram numa série de livros que atribuíram a Ramacharaka, em sinal de respeito. Atkinson começou a escrever sob o nome Yogi Ramacharaka em 1903. Publicou 13 livros os quais alcançaram um enorme sucesso.William Walker Atkinson morreu em 22 de novembro de 1932, na Califórnia. É considerado um dos verdadeiros grandes nomes do Movimento do Novo Pensamento.

          James Allen foi escritor, filósofo e poeta. Escreveu sobre temas complexos como a fé, o destino, o amor, a paciência e a espiritualidade, mas teve o raro dom de conseguir expor os temas de forma tão clara e simples, que qualquer pessoa os pode compreender.Nasceu em 1864, em Leicester, Inglaterra, de onde partiu aos 15 anos, com toda a família, rumo aos Estados Unidos. A morte do pai levou James Allen a abandonar a escola e a começar a trabalhar para ajudar a sustentar a família. Apesar de trabalhar durante muitas horas, Allen continuou a ler e a estudar os temas mais diversos.Entre os seus autores preferidos, incluíam-se Shakespeare, Milton, Emerson, Buda, Jesus, Whitman e Lao-Tsé.Todas as manhãs, andava pelas montanhas à volta da sua casa e aproveitava para refletir e meditar sobre os assuntos que lhe ocupavam a mente. Depois, regressava a casa e escrevia até à hora de almoço. À tarde, estava com a família, tratava da quinta, fazia jardinagem e jogava croquet com os amigos.Faleceu em 1912, mas a obra que deixou fica para a posterioridade.

Clason started two companies, the Clason Map Company of Denver Colorado and the Clason Publishing Company. The Clason Map Company was the first to publish a road atlas of the United States and Canada, and did not survive the Great Depression. He started writing the pamphlets in 1926, using parables that were set in ancient Babylon.
